Mike Kerr and his friends in the Eastern Cape continue to help three little burns girls Michelle, Esihle and Tembakasi in the Eastern Cape. Michelle and Tembakasi are having surgery with Dr Linda Jones in May / June 2011.

Michelle in the Eastern Cape has severe scalp breakdown due to the poor quality skin cover there, post flame burns. It is unlikely that tissue expansion would start until her scalp is fully healed. Once the scalp is stretched, she will have better skin cover over her head. Tembakasi (taller) and Michelle (shorter) are among the burned children being assisted by Mike Kerr and friends in the Eastern Cape, as well as Esihle.
Michelle is a very frail child with regular ear infections that may be attributed in part to a dusty or polluted home environment. Email us for Eastern Cape contact details if you want to help Mr Kerr and friends.
